Andrea’s career story begins in Guadalajara, Mexico, where she built a strong foundation in marketing and client services. Over more than eight years, she grew from working with international clients at a leading agency to stepping into senior leadership roles that shaped her professional identity.
Early in her career, she worked closely with clients while managing cross-functional teams and supporting digital projects including websites, social media, branding, and brand positioning initiatives. These experiences helped her develop a practical understanding of how strategy and execution come together in real business environments.
“I was very proud of the Marketing department I built.”
One of the most defining chapters of Andrea’s career came when she joined an international company and built her own marketing department from the ground up.
“I was very proud of the Marketing department I built. We developed a strong team, focused on results and aligned with clear objectives. I truly enjoyed the process—every challenge, every learning experience, and every opportunity for growth, both personally and as a team.”
In this role as Marketing Manager, she led a team, developed strategy, and focused heavily on results-driven marketing. Her work spanned e-commerce and marketplaces, with campaigns across categories like electronics, fragrances, and agronomy. It was a role that required both leadership and adaptability, and it became a major part of her professional growth.
Transitioning to Nativa: A Different Way of Working
When Andrea moved into her role at Nativa, she entered a new professional environment that brought both opportunity and adjustment. While her experience prepared her for complex marketing work, she quickly noticed differences in structure and communication.
“I have noticed differences in how client briefs and training are structured, as well as in project management, activities, and responsibilities. The overall team communication dynamic is also different, which has been an important part of my adaptation process.”
Rather than seeing these differences as obstacles, Andrea approached them as part of her learning curve—an important shift that reflects her openness to growth and new ways of working.
What She Misses Most
Even with all the progress and new experiences, some parts of her life in Mexico remain deeply meaningful.
“Honestly, what I miss the most is working in my own language. It allowed me to express myself with greater fluency and confidence.”
Beyond language, she often reflects on the people and lifestyle she left behind.
“I often think about my family, my friends, and the lifestyle I had there. Those are things that are still very important to me.”
Life Beyond Work: Change, Challenge, and Pride
Andrea’s transition has not only been professional, it has also been deeply personal. One of the most transformative experiences has been becoming a mother while balancing her career and partnership.
“What has been the most surprising thing about living and working here? Becoming a mother—a full-time role—and at the same time balancing my work, my life as a partner, and my professional development… It’s something that still surprises me and, above all, fills me with pride for everything I’m accomplishing.”
At the same time, she has embraced the lighter side of starting over in a new country.
“Sometimes I laugh when I don’t understand something or say a phrase incorrectly in English, and later realize how I should have said it.” Those moments, although a bit uncomfortable at the time, end up being very funny.
What She Carries With Her
Despite all the changes, Andrea continues to bring the same foundation into every role she takes on.
“Professionally, I remain a disciplined, committed, and results-driven person, with a strong sense of responsibility. Personally, I carry my values with me everywhere, always striving to be respectful, polite, and kind, and to maintain a positive attitude even in challenging situations.”
A Story Still Being Written
Andrea’s journey from Mexico to Nativa is not just a career transition, it is a story of reinvention, resilience, and continued growth. She brings with her years of leadership experience, a strong strategic mindset, and a deeply human approach to work.
Her story continues to evolve, shaped by new challenges, new environments, and the same core commitment that has defined her from the beginning: growth through every experience, both professionally and personally.
