By committing to DEI, employers invest not only their finances but also their energy into creating a safe area for all employees. 

This could involve hiring a dedicated DEI officer/team who will assess existing processes and create new initiatives in areas such as recruitment, education on implicit bias and unconscious prejudices, or adjust benefits packages. 

Alongside these, the company itself should come to broader efforts to reach out beyond its own walls. Whether it be partnering up with NGOs that foster social justice consciousness or hosting cultural celebrations within the workplace itself—the support of external organizations increases visibility and helps promote sustainable, impactful initiatives.
